VBS

The last week I did VBS. I do it almost every year. I really like the singing with Sandy. Here are some pictures. In the top left picture is Sandy who leads the singing every year but I liked it the most this year. In the top right picture is all my friends naming them from the left Clarize, Clarie, Nichole, Me , and Tanya. We all had a great week. This was probably my favorite thing to cheer for the mascot red blue and green.In the bottom left you can see the mascots dancing to the music. One last thing in the bottom left picture is are speaker.

Golf Time!!

Finally its time for golf camp. I have been doing it for the past 2 years. Last time it was just me and another boy but this year it was seven people. But I was the only girl. I didn't really care because I took the class before so I know the instructer. After a few days one of the boys warmed up to me and we were friends for the rest of the class. He is the boy in the top right picture who is swinging the golf club that just missed my head. Also he is in he is the one sitting down in the picture on the right.

THEN after it was done , the next week I got to golf with dad one evening.

The Joy of Song.

Yesterday my friends Tanya, Clarie, Nichole, Clarize and I went my aunt Alice's nursing home right after VBS. So we all sang the songs we learned at VBS to aunt Alice. In the top picture you can see aunt Alice is smiling and clapping. I felt so good that I could bring her joy through song. When we were in the car my mom said," you should sing in front of everyone at the nursing home" of course we all said, " don't say that because it would embarrass us." Soon after this mom said in front of everybody ."do you want my kids to sing to you?" OH! I was so mad at her. We pulled her upstairs quickly !!! If you know my mom ,you know she would do that!!


After visiting my aunt we all went home to eat lunch. Then we went to Claire Woodfins pool.

An Aunt 7 times!

This is my niece Isabel. She was born on February 11 around 12:00 am. Isabel made me a aunt 7 times. Now Isabel is 4 months old. During this summer I am going to see Isabel a lot. She is so cute! Isabel is my sister Lauren's and brother-in-law Jame's baby. It is also their first baby.My other nieces and nephews are Jonas, Shae, Biruke, Kayla, Jack, and Bridget. Jonas is the oldest turning 6. Jonas, Shae, Biruke,and Kayla are my sister Heather's kids. Jack and Bridget are my brother Rob's kids. Heather and her husband Ben live it Jordan and Rob and his wife live in Africa.

Just recently my mom dad and I went to Africa to visit Heather and Ben and there kids. We stayed at Rob and Liz house. So everyone in my family went except Josh, Lauren, James , and Isabel. We were in Africa for 2 weeks.

Dad and mom went to the beach for a few days and left me with Nany. Mom and I have gotten bites from the beach house and think its bed bugs. Now they're home.

Today was dad's first day back preaching.

Beach Time!!!

Finally we went to the beach. My grandmother, mom, dad, and I go to the beach A LOT in the summer and this was our first trip this summer. At the beach there is a lot of things to do like Funland, miniature golfing, golfing etc.

At the beach you usually don't take cars around, instead you ride bikes. Most every day we went on a bike ride in the morning. In the morning you are allowed to go ride bikes on the board walk but the rest of the day you aren't allowed to. My mom and I did most of the bike ridding, because my dad is not supposed to ride a lot.

My mom and grandmother went to the beach first and my dad and I came in a few days after. The day me and my dad got to the beach my dad and I went 3 par golfing at a golf course in Rehoboth, because I take golf lessons. My grandmother left the next day so she could go to church. That day we went bike riding a lot in the morning. That night we got ice cream and watched the movie "Out Of Africa" . The next day was our last day. In the morning my dad and I went miniature golfing. We left around 10:00. That was our beach days.

Through the Bad there has been Good...

During the last weeks of school my dad went to two hospitals because a strept infection that lead to a heart problem. Everyone was praying for him at my school and at church. I was very worried about my dad. At his second hospital visit in Washington he had a minor heart attack. We were all very worried. When he finally got home the doctor said it would take him 2 to 3 months to get back to normal. We are still getting get well cards to this day for dad. Also people are sending us food which helps my mom. Now dad is getting better but he can't do a lot of things so at night we watch movies.

There has been good also. Now that its summer I get to go swimming. We have the nicest friends, The Smits, who have three kids and one is my age. They have a pool and I go swimming with them.

Finally Its Here...

I am so excited that summer is here and my fifth grade is over. This is my fifth grade teacher Miss Armstrong. She made my fifth grade year fun and exciting because she was so much fun.

This was my first trip of the summer. It was a fun one but a wet one. The Dalby's headed it up because they a campers. The trip was a father child adventure trip but I had to go with my mom. We climbed the AT In pouring down rain. Mom and I had a blast.

About a week into the summer the Cloughs sponsored a walk to raise money for Cystic Fibrosis. Our church participated in the walk. On the very bottom picture in the middle is Alexandra who has Cystic Fibrosis.
