Christmas

This Christmas was GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But it was hard to think about the real reason for the season. My sister Heather and her family came for Christmas. My whole family went to WSS (White Sulpher Springs) for the weekend. The first week Heather was here my mom, sister Lauren, Heather, and I went to NY city for Laurens birthday. It was great. It is the 30th of Dec. and heather left. My Christmas was Great ! Ihope yours was to.

Thanksgiving

This Thanksgiving was great. We all went to my uncle Scotts house and we had great food.

This Thanksgiving morning we went to the turkey chase, which is a run. There was a 5k and a 10k I did the 5k. Thanksgiving was GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Musings about Fall

This was our Deep Creek middle school retreat. My mom came as a counselor. Every church got a color as you can see in the picture. Our church was the purple team. This is were we had worship every morning. On Saturday we played games and the theme of the weekend was star wars so all of the games were related to Star Wars. This was one of the games. We had to shoot marshmallows at the storm Trooper. I had a GREAT WEEKEND !!

This Fall has gone by quickly and I am thinking back to it. The two pictures are of Halloween night. I was a pirate and the smits, Lauren and Isabel came over. I got A LOT of candy but most of it I couldn't eat. It was a GREAT Halloween!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

All together it was a GREAT FALL !!!

School Time

School has started and I have made a lot of new friends and great teachers. I'm sorry I haven't written in a LONG time. There is a picture of my mom and me at the Renaissance festival. I have already done two projects. I don't know if you heard this but I went to the orthodontist and they said I needed braces .I had spacers in for a week and now I have braces. All I have been doing is school school and school.

Summer is Over!!

This summer has flown bye and now its time for school. But one thing I can't say is, "This summer was boring." NO WAY!!!!!!!!! This summer was the best summer I have ever had. The reason my summer was so great was because I have enjoyed my really good friends and all of my brothers and sisters and nieces and nephews came to visit. I'm sad to see the summer end, but i can't wait to see what God brings this school year.

I think I'll call this blog Cassi's Adventures now.

CRAZY!

Finaly!!!!

In the picture in the right is Majd and me. Majd lives in Jordan and knows Heather and Ben. She worked at WSS for the summer. We picked her up from WSS and she came to our house for four days. She is back in Jordan now. The day after that we picked up Rob, Liz, Jack, and Bridget at the airport. They are here from AFRICA !! We have been going to the beach on the bay A LOT and we have gone to Claire's pool.

I got to go help with the kids. Rob and Liz get a night ALONE !! Heather and Ben and kids come tomrrow ! BYE !!

Sitting up!!

My niece Isabel is sitting up now. This her sitting up and smiling. She is so cute. Also she is getting her front two teeth.

The whole family is coming back home in a week. Rob and Liz are coming this Sun. and are there a week before Heather and Ben come. But Heather and Ben are staying a week after Rob and Liz leave. I am so excited to see all the kids and everyone.

Soccer

This is the Hamelryck family(picture on right). They have ten children that love to play soccer. So Mrs. and Mr. Hamelryck are doing a soccer camp every night on a baseball field and they invited me so I am doing it. It is a lot of fun. We play scrimmages and a lot of fun games. The other pic is of the people that did the soccer camp.

I really learned how to juggle and head the ball.

This is for Mrs and Mr Hamelryck, thanks for this fun family soccer camp. I really enjoyed it.

Basketball camp

I just finished a Basketball camp this summer at Broadneck High School with the the BHS Bruin girls BB Team players. Camp was from 8 am to noon, 4 HOURS???? In this top picture you can see us after we just finished are stretches.
We shot a lot of baskets, so here I am shooting (but I am blurred). We also played games and went to different stations to practice shooting, dribbling, passing, and boxing out.
This last picture is of what we do at the end at every day. We all come into the middle and tell the coach what we have learned that day and then one of the players holds the ball and everyone puts there hand on the ball and say, "Go Bruins" and the day is over.

I loved it and I wish I can do it again.

My Friend Abby

This is one of my best friends Abby. We have played together a lot this summer. She left today on a vacation till' Sat. I can't wait until she gets home so we can play.

Whenever she comes over we usually play DS against each other. As you can see in the top two pictures. But some times we play Phase Ten.

I like Abby as a friend because I feel comfortable telling her things.

Girls bible study

This summer I've been doing middle school bible study every Thurs. At bible study we play games like hide-and-go-seek, signs, or big booty after we have are talk about the fruit of the spirit. Bethany Thortin usually leads it. in the picture above there's Bethany, me , and her dog Lola. In the other two pictures there is my whole class. We just finished making puffy paint t-shirts and on it I wrote, " I live for hide and go seek!"

The bible study is CRAZY but I love it!

Mt. Kilimanjaro

My brother just finished klimbing Mt. Kili and I am so proud of him. This is a picture of him and his team climbing Mt Kili. He also has a video on youtube of his climb. Just click on youtube and the video should come up for you. Mt Kilimanjaro is the highest mountain in Africa.

My brother sent me a postcard and he said he gotta little sick from altitude sickness. Rob, I really liked your postcard and can't wait to see you!!!

Women of The Bible

Yesterday me, my mom and some other people from the church went to see a play called Women of the Bible. It was a one man play. The women who acted it out got dressed up in different wigs and costumes,as you can see in the pictures, and acted out Rebekah, Women at the Well, and Ruth. I loved how she made it really funny. She doesn't have any hair.But she doesn't have cancer, her hair is just falling out.

I loved it and I would love to go again.

My Brother Josh!

This is my brother Josh. He goes to John Hopkins University in Baltimore and plays on there lacrosse team. This is a picture of him and me after one of his many lacrosse games. This summer Josh is working for my Uncle John at his house and working at lax. camps at JHU. Also he LOVES to golf ( and he is good too ) and now I love to golf too. JOSH I HOPE YOU READ THIS AND TAKE ME GOLFING THIS SUMMER!!!!

WSS

For the past week we have been at WSS (White Sulpher Springs) because my dad speaks there. This picture is of all the staff introducing themselves the first night. The one with the microphone is Majd who is Heather and Ben's friend in Jordan.The one to the right of Majd is Chesley my teacher.
Every year they have a sports afternoon.This year they played soccer and kickball.It was a lot of fun. I scored two goals. That is the soccer field.
That tuesday my class went hourseback riding. I had the tallest horse named Siss. My friend's horse, Sisco, started bucking up and he fell off.But he got back on.

My favorite part is square dancing and dinner on the porch. This is me square dancing. I always ge dressed up.
This is Faris and Majd who are both from Jordan. We are at the bon fire and s'mor night.

I had a great week and I was sad that I had to leave.

Fourth of July

Every Fourth of July we go to AACC for the fireworks and see are friends from church. Except this year we didn't stay for the fire works because dad had to get home because he had to finish his sermon and he is still recovering. Its weird because it is not on the 4th it's on the 28 of June. They have a band first and then when it gets dark the fireworks start. It was a hot night but it was fun. I brought the football and me and dad threw a little bit. Do you see how I was wearing my patriots jersey and hat. They bring snow cones and ice cream trucks but food is expensive. I was going to go home with my friend Emily but i decided to go home with mom and dad.

Tomorrow my mom dad and I are driving to WSS because dad is going to speak. I can't wait to go rock climbing, horse backridding, and fishing. It is A LOT of fun.

Summer is not Summer without Swimming

This summer I have been doing a lot of swimming at two different pools. One pool is the smits and the other is the Woodfins.The picture right next to this is Caire Woodfins pool. Claire is the one with the orange goggles on top of her head. The other pool I go to is the Smits pool. The Smits are Tanya who is at the bottom on the slide and Clarize who is at the top of the slide sitting behind me.

The other thing I have been doing is something for are church called TNT. It is for middle school. In the top right picture is TNT at the Smit's house. We sing and then we have a little bible study. Also in the beginning we get to go swimming. It is 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. every Tuesday.

Well I got to go to TNT now.

VBS

The last week I did VBS. I do it almost every year. I really like the singing with Sandy. Here are some pictures. In the top left picture is Sandy who leads the singing every year but I liked it the most this year. In the top right picture is all my friends naming them from the left Clarize, Clarie, Nichole, Me , and Tanya. We all had a great week. This was probably my favorite thing to cheer for the mascot red blue and green.In the bottom left you can see the mascots dancing to the music. One last thing in the bottom left picture is are speaker.

Golf Time!!

Finally its time for golf camp. I have been doing it for the past 2 years. Last time it was just me and another boy but this year it was seven people. But I was the only girl. I didn't really care because I took the class before so I know the instructer. After a few days one of the boys warmed up to me and we were friends for the rest of the class. He is the boy in the top right picture who is swinging the golf club that just missed my head. Also he is in he is the one sitting down in the picture on the right.

THEN after it was done , the next week I got to golf with dad one evening.

The Joy of Song.

Yesterday my friends Tanya, Clarie, Nichole, Clarize and I went my aunt Alice's nursing home right after VBS. So we all sang the songs we learned at VBS to aunt Alice. In the top picture you can see aunt Alice is smiling and clapping. I felt so good that I could bring her joy through song. When we were in the car my mom said," you should sing in front of everyone at the nursing home" of course we all said, " don't say that because it would embarrass us." Soon after this mom said in front of everybody ."do you want my kids to sing to you?" OH! I was so mad at her. We pulled her upstairs quickly !!! If you know my mom ,you know she would do that!!


After visiting my aunt we all went home to eat lunch. Then we went to Claire Woodfins pool.
